Join LDI for two-days of in-depth technical theme park training at Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park in Anaheim, and go behind the scenes to learn how Disney magic is made! This training is for those interested in how all the complex design and technology elements come together in the challenging theme park environment, where equipment is tested to the max for glitch-free operation. See the shows and attractions, do backstage tours, and attend comprehensive, detailed panel discussions that examine all aspects of the process with the designers and technicians who turn pixie dust into some of the world's most technically advanced theme park innovation. These two technology-packed 14-hour days go beyond our usual Backstage Orlando tours, with more in-depth technical discussions, from storyboards to design solutions.

Both days include continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner: 7am through 9pm, with the following attractions among those on the agenda*:

Cars Land

Get ready to be floored! Cars Land opened June 15, 2012 at the expanded and newly re-imagined Disney California Adventure® Park! . You’ll feel like you’re walking into the Disney•Pixar Cars movie, because the town of Radiator Springs has now been brought to life in this entirely new land.

Mad T Party
The new Disney California Adventure® Park nighttime event (debut summer 2012) is inspired by Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” movie. The Mad T Party will include a live band, a DJ, entertainment, games and lots of dancing. Familiar characters will be “re-imagined” to immerse guests into the environment in the park’s Hollywood Pictures Backlot. It will include unique food, drinks and merchandise. Guests will enter the party through the “rabbit hole.”

World of Color
Tour the control rooms and experience some of the technology up close, with its state-of-the-art lighting and fountain technology. The technical team will demonstrate how the show operates from a technician’s perspective. Conclude the day by experiencing World of Color as a special guest.

The Little Mermaid—Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

Later in the day you will have an opportunity to experience the show as a guest.

Parade Float Technology and Parade Route Audio

Disneyland® Parks are known for parades. You will hear from one of the technical directors who will discuss the design and operation of our moving stages featuring floats from Mickey’s Soundsational Parade. You will also hear about the technology of the control rooms that make the parades a special part of the Disney guest experience.
