Put on your walking shoes! Get ready to see some great shows! Meet the creative teams and technicians in some of Orlando’s theme parks and performance venues. Backstage Orlando is one of the most popular events at LDI, and we promise that this year will be another whirlwind adventure, taking in the sights and sounds that challenge entertainment design and technology to make Orlando one of the world’s most popular entertainment capitals. One all-inclusive price includes events from Monday evening, October 24 through Wednesday evening, October 26 (three dinners, two lunches, theatre tickets, transportation, etc) plus an LDInnovation & Technology Conference Badge for four days of sessions at LDI.

Backstage Itinerary:
Monday Evening, October 24: Blue Man Group

Bus leaves convention center at 6:00pm sharp!

Kick off Backstage Orlando with an evening of fun, food and high-flying technology at Blue Man Group in the Sharp Aquos Theatre at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk. Their use of technology—from sound to lighting and video, not to mention flying paint—is absolutely off the charts. Ben Brantley in The New York Times called Blue Man Group “high-tech vaudeville” and indeed it is!

Tuesday, October 25: Insider Tours

12:00noon to 11:00pm (lunch and dinner included)

Bus leaves the convention center at 12-noon sharp!

Concluding with dinner and a performance of La Nouba, Cirque du Soleil’s phenomenal resident show in Orlando, the day includes backstage tours of the Blue Man Sharp Aquos Theatre as well as other technology driven attractions at Orlando’s theme parks and performance venues. Trust us. You’re in for a fabulous high-tech time, including a few surprises along the way!

Wednesday, October 26: Backstage Disney Day

10:00am-10:00pm (lunch and dinner included)

Bus leaves convention center at 10:00am sharp

Join LDI and spend a day at Disney! Starting with a backstage tour of the La Nouba theatre, with its unique white architecture by David Rockwell, at Downtown Disney. Then you’ll be given the key to the Magic Kingdom to see what Mickey and Minnie have been up to lately, including a fabulous new nighttime show, The Magic, The Memories, and You, that totally transforms Cinderella’s iconic castle into a colorful palette of projected images (via 16 projectors around the perimeter of the park), topped with a soundtrack of great Disney songs.  In addition you’ll see how Disney does everything from pyrotechnics to parades in a day that is absolutely supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
